Heather Hoffman, MA, LCSW

TRAUMA SPECIALIST, ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING

With over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit industry, Heather Hoffman brings to her conflict resolution approach a strong understanding of organisational dynamics and the impact of trauma exposure on individual wellbeing, interpersonal dynamics, and organisational culture.

Her consulting work has involved partnering with human rights and humanitarian organizations, schools, healthcare and social service agencies, and first responders to build resilient and trauma-informed workplace practices. She has facilitated dialogues, mediated conflicts, and provided conflict management advice in complex settings with global human rights organizations and local and national NGOs across the US, Central America, and Africa.

Since 2021 Heather has worked with Human Rights Watch as their internal Consultant on Stress and Resilience, providing wellbeing and management coaching as well as group training, conflict mediation sessions, and critical incident stress debriefings.

A few other notable conflict resolution consulting partners of Heather’s include Tanzanian Children’s Fund, Headington Institute, Columbia University, LifeSource Northwest (an Organ Procurement Organization), and Park Ridge Police Department.

Maya Viswa, MSc

CONFLICT RESOLUTION, FACILITATION, COACHING

Maya Viswa is a conflict resolution and negotiation professional specialising in storytelling, cultural intelligence, and intentional leadership. With a background in advocacy and peacebuilding, she has advised on strategic campaigns across policy, human rights, and restorative justice, and has worked across UK, US, and MENA contexts.

She is also the founder of RareFluence, a boutique consultancy in London that helps individuals and teams strengthen authentic leadership, and connection — with a focus on navigating high-stakes environments. Her key clients have included KPMG and NGN.

Her peacebuilding work spans intercultural dialogue and reconciliation initiatives, where she has facilitated community conversations and creative workshops to strengthen relationships and mutual understanding in conflict-affected settings including Israel-Palestine.

Holding an MSc in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, Maya blends analytical rigour with human insight. This was complimented by her early career experience in legal practice, public policy, non-profit work, and media.
